Rainbows are girls aged between 5 to 7 years of age. Here at Rainbows, we aim to set the programme of activities to help girls to develop their self-confidence and to be able to build friendships.
We strive to get the girls to try and learn new skills while having fun. Most of our activities allow girls get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, getting in touch with nature and playing games.
A statement we always believe and strive to complete is that It all about learning while doing. We want our girls to discover more and grow their mind in a practical, fun and interesting way
Rainbows learn and grow through a programme of age-appropriate activities, trips and adventures - both in their regular meetings and at special events.
They can work towards interest badges, where they can learn about everything from recycling to storytelling, and start their skills builder journey, developing core skills and trying new things like camping, leadership and first aid.
There're even awards they can earn, like the Rainbow Gold award and the six theme awards, that show their commitment and encourage pride in their achievements.
Rainbows are supported by a group of highly-trained, inspirational leaders to explore, challenge themselves and have fun.

We know that this has been a tough time and we want to make sure that when we do meet again, we do it safely and in the best interest of our volunteers and girls. We’ll do our best to give you plenty of notice when Girlguiding’s meetings, camps, trips and events can start again across the UK.
