Rangers is a new section for girls aged 14-18 and will replace The Senior Section from the start of the academic year 2019/20. Rangers will wear a brand-new uniform, meet up regularly, have fun doing activities together and be recognised for their achievements with badges and awards.
Young women in Rangers will follow our programme of interest badges, skills builders and awards and take part in amazing challenges, travel the world and develop skills across our six themes.
Girlguiding UK talked to Guides and The Senior Section about what they wanted from Girlguiding – over 4,000 girls and young women told Girlguiding UK their views.
Their input showed all us that we need to change The Senior Section to better reflect the lives of young women today and support them to find the roles and opportunities they need to have fun, succeed and thrive in the 21st century.
The transformation of The Senior Section is taking place over the next 12 months.
Check out this great video about what you are able to do in the Senior Section.
We know that this has been a tough time and we want to make sure that when we do meet again, we do it safely and in the best interest of our volunteers and girls. We’ll do our best to give you plenty of notice when Girlguiding’s meetings, camps, trips and events can start again across the UK.
